September 15, 2020 – Toronto, Ontario – Newt Corporation (“Newt” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the signing of a SaaS Contract with VIAPASS for a SaaS solution and mobile payment software, in Latin America.
VIAPASS is one of the largest electronic toll payment systems in Mexico, with toll collection points throughout most highways in the country. The company is currently upgrading and enhancing their digital program with mobile presence and additional services.
Newt has been selected to provide its SaaS Software and Mobile App capabilities to VIAPASS. Under the terms of the contract, Newt will provide VIAPASS with a dedicated mobile app for their customers, adding new products and features, and allowing them to access account services and perform operations. Newt shall facilitate and process transactions through the mobile app, allowing VIAPASS’ customers to top up their toll tag accounts, review highway routes, view payment history, and plan trips within the app. Newt’s software provides VIAPASS with the functionality and direct communication with each user within the app. In addition, Newt’s bill pay and prepaid network of products will become available in the VIAPASS app, allowing clients to access Newt’s distribution network for cash loading and digital purchases.
This agreement is another step in Newt establishing itself as a major industry provider in Latin America for digital electronic solutions. Newt is continuously growing its SaaS offerings and is now becoming one of the most competitive suppliers of B2B technology solutions in the Mexican and Latin American market.
